Wynonna Ellen Judd is an American country music singer. First rising to fame in the 1980s alongside her mother, Naomi, in the country music duo The Judds, they released seven albums and 26 singles, of which 14 were number one hits.
During her solo career, which began after The Judds disbanded in 1991, Wynonna released eight studio albums, a live album, a holiday album, and two compilation albums in addition to charting more than 20 singles of her own. Her first four singles—"She Is His Only Need", "I Saw the Light," "No One Else on Earth" and "My Strongest Weakness"—all reached number one on the U.S. country singles charts consecutively, as did 1993’s “Only Love” and 1996's, "To Be Loved by You."
Respected by the millions of fans who are drawn to her music and her undeniable talent, Wynonna’s rich and commanding voice has sold over 30 million albums worldwide spanning her epic 30-year career. The iconic performer was once dubbed by Rolling Stone magazine as “the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline.”
Most recently, with her stint on ABC’s juggernaut show Dancing With the Stars, her New York Times bestselling novel Restless Heart in stores, and her new song “Follow Me,” you can bet Wynonna’s fans will be watching very closely as she writes this next chapter of her legendary story.
