Vince Gill & The Time Jumpers

The Time Jumpers featuring Vince Gill will rock the Florida Theatre stage with a western swing and bluegrass show on Sunday, February 7, 2015 at the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, Florida.

 

As one of the most popular and most recorded singers of the past quarter-century, Vince Gill has become the measure of excellence in country music. His vocal performances are spellbinding, his songwriting emotionally powerful and his guitar-playing world-class.

 

A 20-time Grammy-winner and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Gill will be backed by a band made up of some of the most acclaimed pickers in contemporary music. The current edition of The Time Jumpers includes 11 members, each a master of his (and, in one case, her) instrument.  Alphabetically—which is the only diplomatic way to present such a phalanx of evenly matched talent—they are Dennis Crouch (upright bass), Larry Franklin (fiddle), Paul Franklin (steel guitar), “Ranger Doug” Green (vocals, acoustic rhythm guitar), Andy Reiss (electric guitar), Dawn Sears (vocals), Kenny Sears (vocals, fiddle), Joe Spivey (fiddle, vocals) Jeff Taylor (accordion, piano) and Billy Thomas (drums, vocals). 

 

Gill achieved his breakthrough in 1990 with “When I Call Your Name” winning both the Country Music Association’s Single of the Year award and a Grammy for Best Country Male Vocal Performance. Gill has won 17 more CMA honors, including Song of the Year four times. His Grammy awards now total 20. He has sold more than 26 million albums.
