Country music superstar Carrie Underwood will perform at EverBank Field on July 26th, marking the official unveiling of the stadium's new, world-record setting video scoreboards.
Underwood will perform following an exhibition soccer match between Major League Soccer's D.C. United and Barclay's Premier League team Fulham Football Club. Fulham is owned by Shad Khan, who also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars. The high definition video boards, touted by the team as "the largest in the world," measure 60 feet high by 362 feet wide.
Born on March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Carrie Underwood had put aside her singing dreams for a degree in broadcast journalism, but everything changed after she auditioned for American Idol during her senior year at Northeastern State University. She won the show's fourth season in 2005, and went on to win multiple Grammy, Country Music Association, and Academy of Country Music awards. Her hit albums include Carnival Ride, Play On and Blown Away.
